Why tiles
Three products in this family are one piece and cannot be changed.
A tile floor fits the room. It goes around a doorway, stops at an alcove, and
grows by a set when the equipment does. That is the argument, and this listing
makes it directly: cut, join, extend.
Four of the seven products on this shelf are tile systems.
EVA, and what foam does
High-density EVA, named.
Foam is light, quiet, warm underfoot and easy to cut. Under a treadmill or a
bench it does exactly what is wanted.
Under concentrated load it compresses. A rack stands on four feet of a few
square centimetres each, and that is where foam takes a mark it does not
recover from. The rubber tile elsewhere in this family publishes a 200 kg point
load and is 15 mm thick; this listing publishes neither figure.
That is not a fault — it is the difference between two materials, and it is
worth knowing which room is being floored.

On a tile system those three are the specification: they say how many sets to
order and how deep the floor will be. The other EVA tile set on this shelf
publishes 30 × 30 × 1 cm per tile and about 5 m² per set.
What the tag says, and what it does not
A card hangs from one tile in the product photograph: Warentest Online,
Privatinstitut für Warentests, grade 1,1, SEHR GUT, naming the
Blumtal Bodenschutzmatte, tested in Germany. A test period is printed under
it, too small to read at the published resolution.
Set that beside the paragraph above. The grade is there; the tile size, the
coverage and the thickness are not. Whatever was graded, it was not the three
numbers a buyer needs to order the right quantity — and this page graded
nothing at all.
