Fraying
The one thing in this listing nobody else says, and it is the real failure mode
of a wrist wrap.
Hook-and-loop is abrasive by design. A wrap is fastened and pulled off perhaps
thirty times in a session, and each time the hook side scrapes across the
wrap’s own outer surface. Threads pull. The fabric fuzzes. The closure grips
worse on the fuzz, so it gets pulled tighter, so it frays faster.
Naming that — and building the outer face against it — is a more useful claim
than another sentence about stability.
Firmness from the material, not the strap
“The elastic material mix keeps the firmness flexibly adjustable.”
That is the truthful description of how a wrap works. It has no stiffness grade
of its own; the wearer sets the support by how hard it is wound.
Three of the five listings on this shelf say a version of this. None of the
five publishes a stiffness figure, and none could.
Left and right, on both items
Discreet markings.
On a strap it decides which way the tail wraps the bar. On a wrap it decides
which way the closure lands so the tail is reachable with the free hand.
