It folds
The only mat on this shelf that does, and it is the whole reason to choose it.
A rolled mat is a tube roughly 60 cm long and 12 to 15 cm across. It goes
against a wall, in a corner, or across a car boot. It does not go in a
suitcase, a drawer, or a rucksack.
Folded, it does. The bag supplied is cut for the folded shape rather than the
roll, which confirms the intent rather than treating folding as an incidental
property.
What folding costs
A crease.
A rolled mat carries a curve that relaxes out. A folded one carries a line
across the fold, and the sharper the fold the more permanent it is.
The maker does not address it. TPE is described as dense and resilient and
nothing is said about how the creases behave over months. This page records the
absence rather than guessing at the answer.

Most listings on this shelf say “double-sided non-slip”. Naming the actual
patterns says something a photograph would otherwise have to: the grip on the
hand side and the grip on the floor side are different geometries because they
grip different things.
